Does WFH feel like WTF?

This is a really hard time for many of us and I want to help support you as you transition to working from home for the first time, or give you some extra support even if you have been doing it already.

I’m going to be posting some quick videos next week with more tips and tools for setting up a home office and using collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams and Yammer to increase collaboration while working remotely.

Click here if you want to get notified of upcoming webinars & videos.

Here are some quick tips to get you started in feeling productive at your home office:

  1. Reach out and check in often

Use Chat and text messages to stay connected. Greeting colleagues in the morning, providing status updates using your Status in Teams or Slack, even scheduling a virtual coffee-break with your colleagues can make a big difference to fostering work culture and community.

  2. Use video

During meetings, turn on your video! Seeing people’s faces really makes a difference in building trust, increasing understanding, and getting things done. You can still look great from the top up, even in your ‘jammies! Teams has a great tool called “Blur background” that will blur everything behind you so that your colleagues can’t see your dog and kids running around and the dishes piling up in your sink.

  3. Increase collaboration

Use real-time authoring, polls, and virtual whiteboards to maximize brainstorming and creativity while working together. Now is the time to get to know your collaboration tools and start using them!

Wishing you all well while we look after each other and embrace a virtual working world.
